Get Festive With Your Winter Dinners

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s no surprise that everywhere is stocking festive foods. From M&S’s Christmas meal deals to the infamous red coffee cups returning at Starbucks, it becomes a mission to decide how best to spend your money and still enjoy the festive season.

Instead of splashing out on these high street fads, save your money to buy your brother another pair of socks, an ugly jumper for your aunt Susan or even raiding the Boxing Day sales.

We’ve found some awesome winter recipes that will get you in the groove without breaking the bank.

Pepperoni Tomato Sauce

Everyone likes pizza, so why not make your chicken dinner taste like it? This recipe is GUARANTEED to be a big hit with the whole house.

Ketchup and Mustard Cake

Before making your mind up on this one please click the link. It may sound peculiar and almost obscene but this little gem went down a treat in the office and actually tastes a lot like carrot cake. Plus you can make it with our very own Harrisons Ketchup and Mustard sauces!

Now, this is definitely an alternative to the traditional Christmas pudding, do you think you’ll be adding this to the winter feast?

Kale BLT Salad

Typically a summer dish, but paired with smoked bacon…? We’ve got to add some greens to the list to prepare for the exercise kick when we’ve eaten way too much turkey with that Ketchup and Mustard cake!

This recipe involves a thick slab of fresh bacon, some Mayonnaise, and a few other things. But makes for a wholesome snack for in between the Christmas meals!

Full English Breakfast Pizza

Most often found within a bacon butty or slathered over a fry-up, Brown sauce is one of our favourite sauces but it’s often overlooked. So we thought we’d end this list with a bit of love for the vinegary condiment.

This recipe is a random mix; something you’d usually find in a gastropub or pricey restaurant. To us, it’s the perfect Christmas breakfast. But why don’t you have a look and decide for yourself?
